I hate winter! Officially, I'm sick of the snow and the cold and the crappy air we get in Utah in the winter called inversion. What I hate even more, are my sweet little boys being sick. 2009 is not off to a grand start in the health department at our house. Unfortunately, I've passed allergies and asthma onto both of my boys. Nothing serious, but because of these deficiencies in their immune systems, they get everything that goes around and they get it bad! Poor L. has had a sinus infection since Halloween and finally after multiple rounds of antibiotics, he is having his tonsils taken out. I'm hopeful that once they are out, we won't be making monthly trips to the pediatrician. So, I'm curious to know if anyone has had a child age 4-6 that has had a tonsillectomy, how were they after the surgery? Any hope would be great! As for little L, that poor kid was slammed over night with pink eye, ear infections, sinus infection, and strep. Seriously, he woke up one day just fine and by the following morning, he was an absolute mess. Which, let's just pray this never happens again on a weekend because sitting for 2 1/2+ hours in Instacare on a Sunday with a 3 year old whom you can't let down because they are contagious...well, it just plain sucks!
Just needed to vent...
