I've wanted to take my boys to a pumpkin patch for the last couple of years, but honestly have always waited until like the day before Halloween to try and hunt down pumpkins (I'm so lame...I know, I know). But this year we finally made it to the pumpkin patch. The boys had a great time. Little L just wanted to fill the whole freaking wheel barrow with every pumpkin he saw and Big L just wanted to show me he could pick up the biggest stinkin' pumpkin in the entire patch. But we had fun and this is definitely something we will be making a fall tradition at our house.
This picture's for my Dad. Big L had to have a picture by the "Deere John" sign. He's not dyslexic...I promise!
Here's the pumpkins I picked out:
One of Big L's many pumpkin-weight lifting adventures in the patch..."Hey Mom, look how huge this one is!" Ahhh, I love this kid...
Big L felt like we made out like bandits at this patch. Here's their haul:
They had a bunch of old tractors lined up that the kids had a hay-day on.
I have to say that the pumpkin patch kicks the pants off of pickin' pumpkins out of a big cardboard box at the store.
What a great tradition! I still haven't bought a pumpkin. I think Tayler is the only one who cares. I am such a procastinator. Have a great weekend.
