Sorry for the brief blog break...girls been busy! Sewing and sanding up a storm for a little trip up north for the 4th of July. More photos of that to come. Until then, I needed to share some of the funny things my 6yo has said recently, simply because I will forget! I've actually had to write them down right after he says these funny things or they are lost forever. I swear having kids make you dumb...anyway...here are some goodies:
First thing he says to me as he is waking up one morning, in that still-not-totally awake phase:
Him: "Mom?"
Me: "Yeah, Lance?"
Him: "Ugh, I have a confession to make."
Me: (Trying so hard not to laugh...) "Oh, really? What's that hon?"
Him: "I stayed up last night playing my Leapster after you tucked me in. I really shouldn't have done that."
Me: (Still trying not to laugh...) "Thank you for confessing Lance." Yep, we've taught him good.
I'd made Spanish rice as a side dish for dinner a few nights before. I was cooking rice for dinner again and as I'm fixing it:
Him: "Mom, is this Spanish rice or is it English rice?" Seriously, a very reasonable question.
As we are driving around the Point of the Mountain and approaching Boondocks:
Him: "Oh my gosh Mom, LOOK! That volcano is interrupting."
Me: Laughing..."Wow! Yep, erupting honey...erupting."
As his 2yo brother is having a terrible two tantrum:
He gives me this look and rolls his eyes and then says, "Geez. Logan is so emotional."
We were having a rough afternoon following a "No you can't have a new video game incident" and a bit later he nicely asks me if he can help empty the dishwasher. As he's doing that he hangs his head a little and says, "Mom. I'm really sorry I overreacted today." Seriously, this kid just turned 6 in March! Some of the things that come out of his mouth just crack me up. Here's a little shot of where he likes to sleep...
Yep, that's the bottom step on our stairway. This picture is about 3 years old. He really isn't 6 and still wearing diapers, but I just love this picture. He was upset with me, so he curled up on the bottom step to pout and pouted until he completely fell asleep. I love this little dude so much! He is such an amazing kid!

haha! I love this! Lance is hilarious! I am glad you are writing them down. You will have a fun time with that one as he grows up! I miss seeing you at work! Lunch the other day was awesome! Good to see you! Hope all is well!
